Global healthcare leader Dr. Charlotte Owens joins Prezent’s new board to drive AI-powered, inclusive business communication.
Dr. Charlotte Owens joins prezent

We’re excited to introduce Prezent’s Senior Executive Board—a group of visionary leaders joining us at a pivotal moment in our journey. With $45M raised and momentum building, we’re scaling fast to meet the rising demand for faster, smarter business communication across industries and geographies.

These external leaders bring deep expertise, strategic perspective, and a shared belief in our mission to democratize great communication. Their insights will help shape everything from product development to market strategy as we build a category-defining platform for enterprise teams.

Today, we’re proud to welcome the first member of this board: Dr. Charlotte Owens, former SVP and Head of Global Medical Affairs & Outcomes Research at Organon.

Introducing our first Senior Executive Board member: Dr. Charlotte Owens

Dr. Charlotte Owens is a global healthcare leader with over two decades of experience as a physician, executive, and educator. She is the former Senior Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs & Outcomes Research at Organon, where she oversaw large-scale communication efforts across global markets and medical disciplines. She currently serves as the Fractional Chief Medical Officer for DeepLook Medical and as an adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she remains deeply committed to education and mentorship in women’s health.

Charlotte has spent her career bridging complex medical information with the people who need it most—from clinicians and scientists to business leaders and patients. She brings deep cross-functional expertise in medical communication, strategic storytelling, and stakeholder alignment—especially in high-stakes environments.

Her decision to join Prezent’s SEB reflects a shared belief: better communication isn’t just about efficiency. It’s about impact.

Q&A with Charlotte

Why did you decide to join the Prezent Senior Executive Board now?

What really drove me to want to join the board at this time is a recognition that, now more than ever, the need to communicate effectively is incredibly important.

When I first learned about Prezent, I was stunned at how much time, money, and effort I had put into creating communications that took hours and hours to get right—only to realize Prezent could help me do that in a matter of minutes. That time back meant more space to strategize, inform, socialize—while not having to go it alone when it came to making communication within my organization more inclusive and actionable.

Especially in healthcare, we need to understand information quickly, reach people where they are, and speak in a language they understand. Joining Prezent at this inflection point feels essential.

What excites you most about Prezent right now?

AI is here to stay—and it’s growing at a pace that’s incredibly impressive. Being part of a company that understands AI and communication—and wants to bring those two worlds together—is really important.

It’s also the people. Everyone I’ve met at Prezent is deeply committed to the mission. There’s a strong culture of collaboration, curiosity, and listening—which, in my view, is just as important as the tech.

What sets Prezent apart in the AI and communication space?

The combination of tools, training, and templates is impressive, but what truly sets Prezent apart is its adaptability—and the people behind it. I haven’t encountered many teams this thoughtful about real-world use cases, especially across industries.

Whether it's creating presentations, learning new storytelling techniques, or tailoring content for global audiences, Prezent doesn’t treat communication as one-size-fits-all. The team listens, iterates, and co-creates with customers. That responsiveness is rare.

What unique perspective do you bring to the board?

I bring the perspective of being a physician, a healthcare executive, and a human being—and that combination gives me a unique vantage point. I can speak to what patients are asking for, what providers are asking for, and what better communication means from a return-on-investment standpoint in healthcare.

I also bring global experience. I’ve worked across many countries and cultures, and I deeply understand what it means to “meet people where they are” when it comes to communication. And above all, I bring a passion for learning. I’m still an adjunct faculty member, and I love working with the next generation of providers. That mindset of growth and learning is something I carry into this role too.

What do you hope to learn from your time on the board?

So much. I want to learn from other board members—how they think about communication and AI in their areas of expertise. I want to learn from the Prezent team—what they see coming, what the challenges are, and how they’re solving them.

As a clinician and physician-scientist, I’m in the business of problem-solving. I want to gain a deeper understanding of things I know and things I don’t know. Being part of an organization like Prezent—one that’s committed to being first-in-class—is a real opportunity to grow.

Where do you see the biggest opportunity for Prezent in the next 12–24 months?

I think we have an opportunity to find new ways of communicating. We’ve focused on presentations and written formats—but I’d love to see how AI can help us expand into visual and audio communication too.

Imagine if we could, in minutes, create content that spans different cultures or formats—enabling interaction between patients, providers, policymakers, and decision-makers. That would be incredible. I’d love to see Prezent push from static forms of communication to more dynamic, interactive ones.

What’s your superpower?

Seeing connections. I don’t see problems as static—I see opportunities to connect people, ideas, and solutions in ways others might not. Whether it’s between industries, teams, or concepts, I can usually spot the links that unlock something new. It’s just how my brain works.

We’re honored to welcome Dr. Charlotte Owens to our Senior Executive Board. Her leadership, perspective, and drive to make communication more accessible are already adding value. And we’re just getting started.

Stay tuned—more incredible board members to come.
